Videos are not damaged (I can play my portable hard drive very well), the device signals healthy in the WD diagnostic tool and the firmare for the device is up to date (on the WD site). After about a minute the video started playing at double speed, befire the entire process repeats itself until it catches up with the sound and the video will play very well for about 10 minutes. Finally, video begins to play but jumps several images at once, even if the sound is fine. The video load but Windows Media Watch does not respond and the hourglass (or a circle in W7) shows the application as it is busy.
